Expatriate
world of languages education has been looking after the language needs of
expatriates and foreigners in Switzerland for more than 25 years.
The Expatraite-Course in German and Swiss German was designed for people who have just moved to Switzerland to help with their everyday experiences. Fundamental language elements have been divided into easy-to-learn units for these 90-minute lessons, which are based on everyday situations:
- Bank/post office
- Emergencies
- Finding one's way in the city
- Introduction and etiquette
- Health system
- Domestic services
- Money and figures
- Public transport
- Restaurants and going out
- Road rules, radars
- Food, clothing, buying household articles
- Telephoning
This course is conducted in both German and Swiss German from qualified native speakers teachers, and may be taken in small groups (up to 4 students) or as private lessons (one-to-one)
The 90-minute lessons take place on our premises in the heart of Zurich and
simultaneously lend themselves to meeting other people who are new to Zurich and who also want to know more about their new environment.

The lessons take place in our premises at Stauffacher, 10 mins walk from the Zurich main station, at your home or at your place of work using one of our mobile teachers or to the on-line service Skype / Zoom, an e-learning format we have used for many years with only positive results.
